Motivators and driving forces provide another level of understanding into a person’s behavior. You can’t see them, but they highly influence a person’s behavior. A motivator is the lens by which a person views their life through. The driving force is the underlying force that explains “why” a person behaves the way they do. When their driving force lines up with their job or role, they will be more engaged, energized and rewarded by their work.
By discovering people’s motivators and driving forces, you will:
- – Understand their “why”
- – Find real meaning in work
- – Uncover areas of opportunity
- – Improve performance
- – Boost engagement and retention
