This course builds upon the Basic Residential Air Conditioning but adds to it the components in a heat pump. We will cover what makes a heat pump different, heat pump efficiency standards, and balance points. From there, we will get into the components that make the heat pump different, including the reversing valves, defrost board,s and accumulators.  For each component, we will focus on what the parts are, where they are located in the equipment, and what they do.
